Mission, Vision & Values
WHO WE ARE
JollyBox Global is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit with a 5- volunteer Board of Directors, founded by Madeline Arenas in 2017. Born from a response to Typhoon Yolanda survivors in 2014 and inspired by the resilience of a tribal student mocked online while selling crops, we began by collecting books and raising funds to keep Indigenous students in school.
OUR MISSION
To bridge the gap for underprivileged individuals by providing innovative solutions, resources, and support — empowering them to succeed and thrive in a more equitable and compassionate community.
We do this through education access, family reunification with assistance from the Philippine Embassy, and volunteer service for wildfire survivors, unhoused individuals in Downtown LA, and survivors of domestic violence.
OUR VISION
A world where every individual has access to quality education, healthcare, and resources — bridging the gap between poverty and prosperity, and fostering a culture of hope, resilience, and determination where everyone can thrive.
One backpack, one book, one act of kindness at a time, we prove that one act of kindness can light the way for many.
